100 QUAD fellowships for best minds

Recently concluded QUAD summit in US has decided to introduce 100 QUAD fellowships for students of higher studies to train best brains. Although, details of the fellowship is still awaited but it will be available for the 25 students from each nations, including Australia, India, Japan and US according to the initial reports.  These fellowships will be available for post-graduate and doctorate scholars of engineering, technology and other fields. The fellowship has been sponsored by the some of the best global giants of the world including Google, Master card, Boeing  and some other companies.  Selected fellows will get their education in the STEM universities in US. These fellows will also be a part of the global exchange programme.  (A pvt. initiative)

Voltas, India’s leading room air conditioning brand, in association with Tata Strive, co-hosted the first graduation ceremony at the Voltas Center of Excellence, Thane, to celebrate the accomplishments of the students trained in the Room Air Conditioning Technician course. The state-of-the-art training centre located at Voltas’s Thane facility, in support of the Government’s Make in India mission, commenced operations in September 2016 and has a capacity to train 90 students at any given point of time. It offers two technical courses in the space of room air conditioning and refrigeration. A distinctive feature of the training pedagogy is its hands-on approach via lab exercises as well as on-the-job training (OJT). The four-week OJT provides learners an exposure to a live shop floor dynamics, and an opportunity to demonstrate and practise the skills learnt in the classroom.
